how to move data from 3.0 to 4.0

I have a requirment to deploy a new CRM 4.0 enviornment and carry over the data only from our existing 3.0.  Upgrading the existing environment is currently not an option as they want a vanilla environment, with our existing data only.

 

Is there any bulk export tool I could use?  has anyone tried out the Scribe tools for this type of work?

    David, You have a few options for trying to accomplish your goals. You could use scribe to migrate the data. You could restore the database to the new environment and go down the upgrade route, It depends on how much data you need to move. Does the new environment exist with the current domain?     Hi James,

    the deployment would be within the exact same domain - I dont want to go with the upgrade approach as we need to plan for an inline deployment (550 Offline clients across the globe) so synchronizing the data somehow would be ideal.
