Capturing Field changes in the Table

Hi,

I am looking for a solution to capture any field data changes on a Table/Form.

Eg: If a Customer table has 10 fields and if any of the 10 field data change, I need to capture the logs.

This project of mine is time sensitive, suggestions/solutions ASAP would be greatly helpful.

Thanks

Johnson Patrick

Why do you go with Change Log setup enabled? It will help you track everything what you are looking for.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the reply.

Should have been more clear. I need to capture the logs in a separate Custom table.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the reply.

Should have been more clear. I need to capture the logs in a separate Custom table. Change log will work but since this is custom functionality, we are trying to capture the logs in a different custom table.

In that case you have work on OnModify Trigger and write your logic there, what field has been modified through a RecRef or FieldRef.

    Thanks

If there  some specific fields then you have write your condition to check with Xrec.field <> Rec.Field values and store in your custom table.

You can have an idea by this link - forum.mibuso.com/.../compare-xrec-to-rec

    Thanks.

    Hi Johnson,

You can use the change log setup, by adding the fields which you want to track.

Enabling tracking for specific fields is easy - simply select those fields and tracking will be activated. Additionally, you can view the change log data directly in the change log entries table.

I hope this information is helpful for you.
