Record URL hyperlink in workflow email will not open

Hi CRM friends! I have workflows that automatically send out emails to my CRM users from different entities, and when they click on the hyperlink for the record, they get an error message if they are using Chrome or are prompted to log in if they are using Explorer.  We are using CRM 2013 and the app and the SQL services are in different servers, and the URLs are pointing to the app server... Any help will be really appreciated!

    I believe that the URL that is used for the Dynamic Record URL in workflow is that set in Deployment Manager. The URL should point to the app server.

    If the URL is correct, then check if it has been added to the Trusted Sites zone in IE. But if you are using IFD, then I think users will get the ADFS login message. I don't think there is a way round that unless someone else knows better.....

    Correct, the Dynamic RecordURL will use the IFD URL-- why this made sense to MS I'm not sure. You should at least have the option to include either. So it sounds like you have some IFD/ADFS issues you need to work out.

    Thank you Joe and Feridun. I guess I have some homework to do and dig deeper in this IFD/ADFS issue!

    Are you able to access your IFD normally? i.e. not via the link in the email?
