Adjust "from" email address on a customer statement, vendor remittance

For the customer statement report, there is an option in the report output to select email instead of print. This will then email out the customer statements to each customer based on the email set in the document layouts. This is where I am able to edit the "to" email address. However, I do not seem to be able to change the "from" email address for the customer statements, as it just sends. Is there a toggle somewhere or an option to open up a screen that can show the "from" field and then allow me to manually change that email address to send from? I am also wondering the same thing when exporting an electronic payment in the payment journal

Create the email account you want to use and then use the Email Assign Scenario to select the reports. Please check the below link for more information.

Hi, try the following method, provided that you have set up multiple Email Accounts.

    Thanks.

Is there anyway besides the email scenario assignment? For instance when I click an invoice to email it, I can change the "From" option on screen, and the "to" email, as well as the email body and attachments too. I effectively get to preview an email similar to Outlook. I'd like to be able to have that option in BC, to be able to freely adjust the "from" email like an email message I could in outlook, or in sending a posted sales invoice. Or for example on the send vendor remittance screen, I can change and choose the from address right then (for example image below):

    Hello,

You can click on the drilldown button "..." and choose which email address to send from.

These email accounts must be setup first on "Email Account".

Yes, with this setup, when you click on the three dots in the "From" field of the Email Details page, you can manually select an account from the Email Accounts list. This functionality is standard in Business Central when multiple email accounts are configured in the Email Accounts page.

This is not possible out of the box because some reports still use the old Custom Layout Reporting (CLR) codeunit instead of the newer Document Sending Profile. CLR does not allow you to modify the email content when clicking "Send."

If the report request page includes an Output field, it indicates CLR is in use. This is why you can modify the email and change the "From" email address when sending sales invoices, but not when sending customer statements.

Your options are customization or use a default "From" email address. Can you clarify why you need to change the "From" email address instead of using a single default address?
