Create a wave template that queries for "big" shipments

Hi,

We would like to catch "big" shipments on a specific wave, for example shipment that have more then 10 lines should be on its own wave.

Is it possible to add for example "Shipment lines" in the query for a wave template?

Thanks!
Johan

Use edit query option on wave template.

    Hi Johan,

To set up a wave template, follow these steps:

    • Go to Warehouse management > Setup > Waves > Wave templates.
    • Select New to create a new wave template.

For more detailed settings, you can refer to the following documents:

Wave templates - Supply Chain Management | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Learn

And as Sagar's screenshot shows, you can follow the screenshot to set.

    Best Regards,

    Hana

    Hi Sagar & Hana,

How do you suggest Johan should setup the wave template query to find Shipments which have more or less than 10 lines?

    Hi,

Yes, I know about the Edit query option :) The questions is if it's possible to join a table that holds the information about number of Shipment lines?

    Hi,

Sadly, you cannot filter shipments based on the field Shipment lines.

The field is a calculated method and cannot be added to the query.

For a similar requirement we created a custom field to stamp the shipments lines on Shipment table which was added to query to filter shipments based on size.

    Hi Sagar,

Thanks for your answer! I guessed that it would not be possible to filter on Shipment lines, thanks for confirming that!

    Br,

    Johan
