Product readiness check- Engineering products

(6) ShareShare

Scenario:

1. We are using Engineering items
2. They have product readiness policy attached to them. All checks are Mandatory
3. Items are created in Parent legal entity and shared with Child legal entity
4. Once Product is released from Parent to Child, users manually accept the item in Child LE.
5. Once item is accepted it creates the readiness checks.

At this point I can also see the item under Released products. I do not want this. Is there a way to stop items to show up under released products screen before the readiness check is completed? Am I missing configuration?
I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

The readiness check is done for a released product. For that reason the product should exist and you see it on the Released products form.

What is the business reason for not having these products visible? Note that the engineering version is inactive until the readiness check is completed. This prevents users from actively using the product while being in review.

Potentially, on the released products you can use Saved views and create a query where products with an active version will be visible.

Hi, They don't want people to use these items before the details are filled up.

If I have to create a view on Released products for "Active and inactive" which column should be inserted/ filtered? I cannot add engineering version on the Released product view page

Unfortunately, I'm not able to review the data model in short term to check if you can use an advanced query where you can join tables to get the result.
In case you know the form or table name where the status for the version is maintained, I can have a quick check how to link it to a released product.

I don't have an environment with engineering change data to navigate to the forms myself.

    Hi,

In the released product page, you can use advanced filter option, and add a table: EngChgReleasedProductVersion
Then put the condition on the Active = Yes,
