Excel Error while opening Downloaded Excel file from Dynamics 365 - Customer Service

In Dynamics 365 v9.0.2 [Version 1710 (9.0.2.2078)], I am getting below error intermittently while opening an excel file downloaded from Advanced find or any of the view's - "Export to Excel" functionality. Sometimes, it is repeating up to more than 10-15 times continuously before letting me successfully open excel file.

Did anyone else also face any similar issue? What could be the root cause of this issue, a bug in D365 9.0.2 or Office installed on the local machine?

Can you open the local xlsx files on your computer?

If you can not open local files, there may be some issues with your Office. Please refer to the following link.

Hi,

What happens fi you click OK, does it load properly? I think it is related to your local office install. Verify if you can open xlsx in this machine from some other sources.

If you are able to file fine after clicking OK then I think it should be fine. I have seen this error which comes up if the excel is generated from html via code.

Hi Sachin Dev Gupta,

Try opening one of the downloaded documents on another computer. If the document opens without issue, then there may be an issue with your copy of Microsoft Excel.
