ReportApologies for the question to be abstract , i am new to CRM space. We are building a new CRM 2016(on premise ). The old system is also CRM 2016 with a different data model.
The new system will have as 'Accounts' in the center for data model and everything else hanging of it whereas in old system the 'events' are the center of data model. I need to plan the data migration plan and i have a limited understanding in CRM data migration. I need some direction to proceed in order to layout a detailed data migration plan. As of now what i was planning is to 1) Identify the Entities to be migrated from old to new based on the new model 2) Layout the dependencies to decide the order of import 3) Define Entity to Entity Mapping on attribute level 4) Transform and Clean the data as per the target entities base don data mapping 5) Create and Populate import templates 5) Import Data.
