The option to "Show corrective Credit Memo" and "Show Original Document" buttons are grayed out and do not direct me to the connected credit memos. Even if I created a credit memo directly from the sales/purchase invoice.
Is there a reason for this?

Are you on the Posted Sales Invoice attempting to click one of the options you noted? If yes, can you send a screen shot so I can see.

I have uploaded the screenshot. Yes, I created a credit memo directly from the invoice and it still does not allow me to view the credit memo from the original document.
I recreated your scenario in NAV (please note the screen shot is NAV vs. BC) and I had the same issue. I took a Posted Sales Invoice, create the Corrected Credit Memo. The on the Posted Sales Invoice my Show Canceled/Corrective Credit Memo is grayed out. I tried a few just to make sure.
Maybe some of the forum DEV folks might have input. My gut is telling me this is a bug and to submit a support request to Microsoft on the matter.
