Hello,

On the Bank Account Ledger Entries there is no way to edit the descriptions or change the dimensions on the subledger entries. This functionality exists out of the box with the general ledger. I need same in the Bank Ledger Entries.

What should I do? Any answers would be appreciated!

Hello,

Dimension corrections apply changes only to the G/L entries.

Also, there is an Idea created, and we hope that we will see this functionality soon in the future. You can speed up this process with a like on this idea on the next link. - Microsoft Idea (dynamics.com)

There is always a solution to create a custom codeunit to process updates from GL to Bank Ledger, or you can modify the 2581 codeunit to add updating related entries, but you should be very careful with this one.

As of standard MS functionality, we have just on GL entries to go and rectify it but for the subledgers we don't have.

You have 2 option, if you have just handful of entry then go with the process of cancelling reversing and recreating the entries or else write a process to update it.

The easiest option would be to reverse the entries and re-post them with the correct dimensions and description.

Hello,

Business Central allows editing of descriptions and dimensions for General Ledger (G/L) entries, but not directly for Bank Account Ledger Entries.

You can reverse the incorrect entry and Post the Correct Entry.

Or for More usage if this, you need to do customization for the same.

Interesting and I didn't realize we don't have dimension in sub-ledger level. I think that is something should come in future release.

Hello,

The standard functionality is not available for editing bank transactions.

The simplest solution would be to reverse the transaction and generate it again. It could also be solved with a small development.
