GP 2010 Using Multiple SOP Packing Slips and Pick Tickets

Our company is gearing up to allow other retailers to sale our products online. One of the requirements is the able to print Packing Slips and Orders with the online re-sellers company information. However will still need to you our own standard Packing Slip and Orders forms for our general orders. I am able to make the needed copies and changes to forms in Report Writer but can not figure out how to make the form avaiable for selection when printing. Any help would be appreciated thanks in advance.

    Hi Robert,

Within report writer you wouldn't be able to print a different Packing Slip or Order based on the customer as you can only have one modified report assigned in your company.  You would need to make Word Templates based on that Report Writer report, and then assign the different Word Templates to different customer/customer classes.

    - Keeping Word Templates in synch with Report Writer

    - Word Template Formatting Tips Video

To assign a Word template to customers:

    1. Open the Report Template Maintenance window.

(Administration >> Reports >> Template Maintenance)

    2. Select a report name.

    3. Select a template in the Available templates for the selected report list.

    4. In the Assign menu, choose Customer to open the Customer Assignment window.

    5. If customer IDs and customer classes aren't displayed in the Customers assigned to this template list, choose the Add button to open the Add Customers window.

    6. Select to add customers by customer class or customer ID.

    7. Specify which customers or customer classes to included in the range.

    8. Choose Insert to insert the range you’ve selected in the Restrictions List.

You can enter a single range or enter multiple ranges. For example, you can enter a customer class range for local customers, a range of customer IDs from 100 to 300, and a range of customer IDs from 500 to 800. A range can be an individual customer.

    9. Repeat steps 6 through 8 until you entered the ranges you wanted.

    10. Choose OK to return to the Customer Assignment window.

    I hope this helps!
