Manufacturing - Automated Scheduling

I am looking for an automated scheduling program for production scheduling other than Preactor.  I had seen one at the 2008 convergence but have been unable to find it since.  Since capacity planning is huge for us as we deal with custom items, we are in need of some way to automate scheduling of our work centers and their capacities.  Ideas would be greatly appreciated.

JobTime Systems, Inc. is a Certified Microsoft ISV Partner, offering JobTime5, an advanced scheduling solution, based on SQL Server (all versions).   We have interfaced JobTime5 with over many ERP's previously, and we recently interfaced it to both NAV and AX. We also plan to support GP & SL.   JobTime has been focused on advanced scheduling for over 25 years.  We enjoy how straightforward it is to interface with Dynamics ERP systems because they are also based on SQL Server.  We do cater to custom manufacturers, and can tailor specific integration requirements. The result is a reliable and automated scheduling system.  We consider not only machine and labor capacity, but can also define perferred machines per operation, and labor-skills, and labor crew mix requirements.   We can also reflect inventory as a constraint, and we can more accurately predict net requirements, since material receipts and issues in JobTime5 are tied to the as-scheduled start & finish times of individual operations.  We include production assembly constraints (BOM links) to accurately schedule assemblies of in-house make items.  We support Lean scheduling by recognizing cells. We can synchronize order releases to factory bottlenecks in support of Theory of Constraints scheduling.  We provide a mix of 14 basic schedule rules and unlimited user-defined schedule rules. We offer a 'score-card matrix' to let you compare results across all schedule-rule candidates, so you can see which schedule rule gives you the best on-time performance, setup efficiency, minimum WIP and shortest cycle time.  Multiple Levels are provided to allow graduated mixes of features and functionalites. Look us up online at www.jobtime.com or email me at pwyman@jobtime.com.

    Willdozer:

This letter is in reply to your post from back in 2008.  If you are still looking for automated scheduling software which is based on Microsoft SQL, user-friendly screens, logically laid out, with flexible reports, and interactive schedule board that shows both machines and resources moving together in the drag& drop, then please visit our site at www.jobtime.com.   You can also see us listed at solutionfinder.microsoft.com under 'Finite Scheduling'.  We deal with many aspects of accurate capacity modeling including machines, labor, skill-groups, tooling, tool-groups, assemblies, setup-matching, preferred station constraints, labor attending multiple machines, batch process constraints, multiple dispatching rules, user-defined dispatching rules, and forward-backward finite capacity optimization. Be glad to answer any questions at 877-570-7900. We've been automating the scheduling of work centers and various side-constraints for 27 years.  We're also a Gold Certified Microsoft Partner.
