Client is using the bundle feature on a small number of items - bundle flag set to 'yes' in Released products, bill of materials for 3 component items. Enter the sales order for the parent item, confirm it, and the bundle explodes correctly to the 3 child items.
They are using advanced whse, fulfilment policy is currently set to 100%, which has been working well. But... business requirement now is to move to fulfilment policy of 90% qty, which presents a problem with the bundles.
If 2 of the 3 items have enough on hand, and the 3rd does not have enough on hand to complete the order, but it is enough to get above the 90% threshold, then work is created for the available inventory. Problem is, the kits are useless unless they are supplied in full.
Is there a way to prevent work pick work from being created when there isn't 100% availability on the bundle components, while leaving all other items to run on the 90% fulfilment policy?
Work is currently created in recurring batch using the auto release to warehouse function.
Customers can buy a mix of bundle and non-bundle items, so setting a 100% fulfillment policy at the customer isn't viable.
