How to hide recurrence option in batch dialog ?

Posted on by 75
 Hi guys,

This is a bit weird question, but I created a class which extend RunBaseBatch. As normal, when we run this, there will be a Recurrence section at the bottom, those with section /Run in the background/ group.

In some case, I want to hide all this, even the /Run in the background/ text.

Thought I can do it by adding this ->

 public boolean canGoBatchJournal()
    {
        return false;
    }

But seems not working. It is still visible and user can expand the control to see the recurrence setting.

Can I really hide it ?

Thanks.

    canGoBatch() is a good option if you want to disable batch processing completely. If you want to keep batch processing capabilities and just not showing parameters in GUI (e.g. preventing users from disabling batch processing), we'll need to look for another solution.

    Hi,

    I didn't try it before, but what I would try is, return false in the controller method "canGoBatch"
    not sure what is canGoBatchJournal in your question.

    Maybe also try also to reset usage data before testing it.

    Thanks,
