Asset Management- Maintenance Plans and Checklists

Hello,

I’m currently setting up maintenance plans and checklists, and I’d appreciate your help with a couple of configuration issues I'm encountering.

1. Counter-Based Scheduling Issue

I’ve configured maintenance plans using counter lines, as we track two types of counter: Operating Hours and Kilometers.

It’s important to note that I’m using variants to define the counter values (KM and hours), and I’ve also set up job type defaults with these variants.

The issue arises when I set an asset counter—for example, at 1500—and the maintenance plan includes intervals at 500, 1000, and 1500. The system generates three schedule lines (500, 1000, and 1500), instead of just the current due one at 1500.

Even after creating and closing a work order, the system continues generating lines for the earlier intervals.

Is there a way to restrict the schedule to only create a line for the current threshold (e.g., 1500), without referencing all prior ones?

2. Checklist Auto-Linking to Work Orders

I’d also like to automatically link a checklist to the work orders generated from these schedule lines.

I’ve explored the entity “Asset Management Maintenance Checklist Template”, but I keep encountering errors—likely due to the fact that each checklist template has multiple variants (aligned with KM and hours usage).

Is there a recommended way to ensure the correct checklist variant is automatically associated with the generated work order, based on the job type and variant?
