Hi All
I setup an item for direct delivery and pointed it to an advanced warehouse by mistake.
I created the sales order and processed it through to conclusion.
I then went back to the item and changed the direct delivery warehouse to a non-advanced warehouse which we want to use for direct deliveries.
Next, I created a new sales order and added the item - the warehouse looked to be correct on the sales order line, however when I looked at the purchase order, the warehouse has defaulted back to the advanced warehouse and I cannot change it (I get an error 'Item transactions must be for warehouse XX').
Is there any way to reset the warehouse on the item once a transaction has occurred?
Thanks in advance.
Hi Miller,
I know my answer is late but. if a problem occures with a work and you want to cancel it no matter what is it's statuts there is a new feature in D365F&O called work cancelation. you can find it under.
Warehouse management > Periodic Tasks > Clean Up > Cancel work
then all you need to do is to enter the related work and process a work cancelation. it's recomended to run an inventory consistency check after that. Please notice that that inventory in the system will be placed at its original location so you need to bring back the items where they were before the picking. then it's like if the work never existed you can delete the line from the load and do what you want at the order level.
