I know this is a long shot, but I'm running out of ideas.
I noticed I had 100 new open leads in my name that were created, apparently by me, on Christmas Eve at 2:40am. They just have names and emails. It's a mix of customers, leads, employees, etc. I can't figure out what the commonality is to see if they came from a third party system in some way.
But that's the thing - I don't have any third party tools integrated with CRM other than ClickDimensions, and I just started using it the week before.
The very first entry that was created actually has a Topic and Company name, unlike the rest. It's referencing a form we have on a website, that was built on Wufoo.com. Again though, no integrations with Wufoo, and the list of people that follow aren't people that filled out that form.
I'm thoroughly confused. Has this ever happened to you?

Hi ,
It is a good idea to keep an eye on the situation. One recommendation is to enable the Audit on Leads and if it happens again you might be able to get more info on the creation of those new Leads.
Check out this blog for guidance on how to enable Auditing.
Let us know your audit logs if the issue reoccurs.
It's strange. Eventually I'll figure it out I'm sure. It has to be something I'm not getting - I'm keeping an eye on my leads to see if it happens again.
I just added clickdimensions, but when this happened I hadn't configured anything. Just installed it.
Maybe someone else create them behind you like a ghost!!! if there is no new workflow or new installed solution in the Microsoft CRM!!!!!!
is anyone creating customizations on your system?
do you have any solutions added recently
I would check for workflows, which could convert emails to leads
Thanks. It only shows the records were created by me, which they weren't. No one transferred them, and there's no record in the Import history. It has to be some type of third party workflow or such I'm not aware of.
I wonder if it has to do with the Outlook plugin. All of these records include email addresses that have been included inside emails (as text in the body or within an attached xls) at some point.
Good idea. I looked through all of them and didn't see any that would cause it.
Hi
In my experience the entring recoreds in CRM divided into:
1- Recording by user
2- Recording from Importing data file
3- Recording from Converting (qualifying ex: Lead to account and contact and opprtunity)
4- Recording by integrating to other software (or website or workflow like recording from outlook)
5- Assigning by other users
6- creating base on workflows (like assign from someone to someone or ....)
Finally i suggest you to check Auting history of the recoreds if Auditing is enabled in your microsoft CRM , you can check there for creator of the records. it can gives u right answer or Idea!
Hope to help you
