Custom Process to set "From" to helpdesk@xxx.com

I am working on creating a process to send email when case is created.

It is working sending email but I would like to set "From" as helpdesk@xxx.com

rather than user's email address.

Can it be possible without creating custom process or adding a new user with email helpdesk@xxx.com?

I am using CRM 2011 online.

Thanks for you help.

John

    John,

You cannot set the 'From' value to an arbitrary email address. You will have to set this as a specific user.

Its a good practice to create a user account to handle email notifications, integration etc. I understand this will consume a licence. Perhaps, you can change the Access Level for the User as "Non Interactive" and use the user account to send emails from CRM. I haven't tried sending emails from a Non Interactive account, but definitely worth a try.

Let me know if this works.

    Cheers,

    Karth
