Sell start and end Date in Dynamics F&O

Hello,

In Dynamics 365 Finance and operatios I have set the ship start date, sales start and end date for the item, but it doesn't work when creating the sales order line. It doesn't block me or give me an error message. Is there any other parameter that needs to be configured for it to work?

What values have you set up on the released product, and what is the confirmed delivery date on the sales order line?

Hi,

In my opinion, while these fields do exist, they appear to be primarily informational, and I don’t see any out-of-the-box validation logic that restricts sales orders based on the Sell start/end or Ship start/end dates. I tested this by also entering a confirmed ship date, but still didn’t encounter any validation.

It seems that if you want to enforce these fields, you would likely need to implement custom validation logic.

That said, I’d be interested to know if there’s any configuration I may have missed.
