Synchronizing Multiple CRM Databases

(0) ShareShare

Hello,

Does anyone have any guidance on keeping multiple CRM databases in sync real time using a single organization?  Due to bandwidth, I would like users to access CRM locally from their respective locations and have all changes pushed to the other locations immediately.

Thanks,

Russell

    Hi Russell,

There is no support for an out of the box synchronization method for crm databases.  If such a method is needed it would have to be all custom and carefuly designed.

That's what I was coming up with as well.  Would there be a way to point local users to their database?

    Hi Russell,

Not easily.  it would have to be a separate crm installation and a synchronization built between the separate crm installations.

Is this a large global installation?  We have only architected this once a while back and never moved forward as we were able to successfully run it from a single central location.

    Hi Alex,

The user count isn't that high but they have 3 global locations.  Their current environment, home grown system, is set up in this manner and that's why they are pushing this scenario.

    Thanks,

    Russell

    Hi Russel!

How many people are going to use the system and how far away are the locations? I don't have experience of the delay between different continents. Have you tested if the system is getting to slow?

I would suspect that you may have problems with ping, not the bandwidth.

Since there is no out of the box solution, we could only discuss the algorithm of the synchronization, if you have any questions, ideas about that.

Currently I am working on synchronizing CRM with our Dental Practice Management's database. It is quite different situation and less complicated. I am integrating through the CRM SOAP API.

Do you want to synchronize though database level or API level?

    Greetings,

    Tamas
