hello,

when i import my solution from dev environnement to prod environnement, i have this error :

One or more components in the solution already exist in your system as unmanaged components. Importing this solution will convert the components into managed components for this solution.
Warning: Any customizations that your organization has made to these components will be lost.

i work with Dynamics 365 ,yesterday i  installed the SP1 from CRM 2016 to Dynamics 365 may be this cause the warning

the différence between the two solution is an the prod environnement i  modified a BPF and Dialog

Do you import this as managed or unmanaged solution inside the production environment ?

It sounds like you have an unmanaged solution in production and you want to import a managed solution

It is showing this warning because you imported a managed solution, then made customization directly to one of its components(ex BPF). Now when you are trying to import a managed solution containing the same BPF, its telling you that the changes made to that BPF will be overridden by the new managed solution. If you are sure that you have also made the same changes to dev (the ones you have made on prod) before exporting. You are good to go.

As Vikas mentioned.. although, it might be more about having an unmanaged component (entity, for example) in production that you previously put there with an unmanaged solution and that you are now trying to put there as part of your managed solution.

This is a bit older article, but, I think, it still works as described there:

    msdn.microsoft.com/.../gg327863(v=crm.5).aspx

PS. I would check what entities you have in the managed solution which already exist in production and which are not "managed" there. You may still be good to go, though, but that's unless your unmanaged entity has some fields which will be removed as a result of this conversion (even then you might still be ok.. if you don't need those fields)
