Microsoft CRM Custom Activity with Entity Subgrid

We have a custom activity called party. We have attached a party to a project (entity). In the activity, is it possible to add a multi-select/sub-grid that references another entity called contacts?

So in our project entity - the party activity could have five people (contacts) associated to the party? Is this possible? I ask, because I have tried multiple things and it hasn't worked yet! It would be a one-to-many connection between a custom activity and an entity.

    hi,

i suggest to have a relation N-N between the two entites project and contact without using the new custom entity . So in this case , you could choose directly the contact .

But if you have some details to add to the custom entity like date , description , ... , in this case , you could with some developpment html to choose the contact and the record "Party" will be created automatically in the code Javascript.

You could use attribut of the activity "Party" like From , To ,..

Custom activity records actually have a to field that you could use by simply adding it to the form - you can then add multiple contacts to that.

It's basically the same functionality as an email or an appointment.

    Hope this helps
