We are currently using SL 7.0. I am creating a test sytem where I have installed SL 2011. I have copied the live databases from our production SQL server (2008 R2) and attached them to the test SQL server (2008 R2) on the test server.
When I launch Microsoft Dynamics SL Database Maintenance program and log to the server successfully, I go to the Update Databases tab. I can select the SYS database but the APP database does not show up. I have tried the Synchronize All Ownerships & Security but the APP database does not show up even though it is in SQL.
Am I missing something or doing it wrong?

There is a script that syncs the Sys and App databases together that you have to run in SQL before you go into the Database Maintenance step in the conversion process.
Hello Bill,
Look at the solution to the issue someone had going from SL 6.5 to Sl 2011. Same solution. It's your SQL DB system table. Domain and Company tables must be updated to the new test server.
