Hi:

In General Ledger Entries within Business Central, I have seen drop shipment accounting where the main /Inventory/ account from the Chart of Accounts is used.

Since drop shipments are not received into inventory, wouldn't it make more sense to have a very similar but separate inventory account for drop shipments called /Inventory - Drop Shipping/?

Hi, if you want to do this, you need to at least create new items and assign new posting group.

In this way, you can create a new Inventory Posting Setup and post to the account you need.

Of course, it should be possible to customize it, but I don’t recommend it personally.
