receive an error message when trying to activate Yammer inside CRM.  The resolution from an article posted was to go into the yammer admin tab and click the setting to enable third party applications.  When I log into the Yammer, I do not see a admin tab.  Any suggestions?  Thanks, Don

RE: Yammer integration into CRM Online

    Hello,

For step by step process to integrate yammer with CRM 2011 Online, follow the link below.

    community.dynamics.com/.../dynamics-crm-2011-and-yammer-integration-step-by-step.aspx

More information on Connect to Yammer  - msdn.microsoft.com/.../jj945277.aspx

Thing to keep in mind while integration : Enable for Third Party Applications in Yammer.

    Steps that can be followed.

    1. Log into the Yammer portal as Yammer Network Administrator.

    2. Click on the Admin tab.

    3. Under Enabled Features, select Third Party Applications.

    4. Check the Checkbox for Third Party Applications.

    5. Save the settings.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank You !

RE: Yammer integration into CRM Online

    Hi Don,

One would think that would be a great option for Partners to have....but, nope. It's only available for "free" for clients with a current Microsoft Enterprise Agreement.

If you do not have an enterprise agreement (even partners), you need to pay for the Yammer Enterprise edition in order to enable this in CRM. And having an E1-4 Office 365 account does not count towards having an "Enterprise Agreement" - different animal.

I hope this will change in the near future. Rumor's are a big push for Yammer with Partners is coming from Microsoft.

    Mike

    HI Michael,

hmmm, I do have office 365 e3 plan (I'm a MS partner with 25 trial versions for a year) as well as the CRM online.   Thus, I guess I should have the admin page?

Just wanted to show prospects how yammer can help their internal communication.  Thanks!  Don

RE: Yammer integration into CRM Online

    Hi Don,

If you do not see an admin tab in Yammer that means you do not have the Enterprise/paid version of Yammer. This is the Enterprise Admin functionality described in the pricing tables.

    www.yammer.com/.../pricing

At some point, if you have an Enterprise Agreement and Office 365 you will get Yammer Enterprise for "free", otherwise, it will require a paid version of Yammer.

“For Enterprise Agreement customers, Yammer Enterprise ships with Office 365 E1-E4 plans.  Otherwise Yammer Enterprise is available at $3/user/month and Yammer Basic is free for customers”

I know, all very confusing and Microsoft is doing a poor job of communicating what's what. I have tried to get clear answers from both the Yammer team and Microsoft teams. Nobody seems to have a consistent answer or enough details to make things any more clear.
