Execute fetchxml issue in web api

Hi,

We have created the personal using advance find by adding lookup field in where condition and when we try to execute this view using web api (execute fetch xml of view) then we are getting "Request-URI Too Long" . When we debug then we found that fetchxml of view becomes to big that is why it shows error. When we create view with select few accounts record in where condition then it works but when we selected more than 300 records then it throws error.

Can any one face such kind of issue and have solution to resolve it.

Thanks!

    Hi,

I think this is a server limitation, not a web-api limitation. You can't pass unlimited number characters to the server through "GET" request. And, since it's CRM online, you probably can't do anything about those limits.. But just FYI, have a look at this:

    www.google.ca/search;oq=IIS+url+limit&aqs=chrome.0.0l3.1943j0j4&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#q=414+request+uri+too+long+iis

This error is happening all the time with long requests.

Did you try to save the view and use userQuery option instead?
