Subject line changes when tracking emails from Outlook

Hello,

I'm very new to Dynamics... so am suspecting this is a very basic question ;)

If I click the "Track" button in Outlook for an email. That email will show up as an activity under the contact with that email in CRM, too. Also, it appears that any subsequent replies from that email thread will be automatically stored, too... correct?

I've noticed that clicking Track appends a code like "CRM:0005019" to the end of the email subject line. Does the recipient of my email see that in the subject line on his end?

    Yes, CRM Tracking ID does get added onto the subject line of all subsequent emails and your recipient will see the addition.  However, you can remove this by going into the Email tab of the System Settings.

    it should be noted though, that by removing that, you decrease CRM's chances of recognizing the email as something that needs to be tracked. so it can reduce the overall effectiveness of the tool by doing so. Just FYI.
