required field ignored in header

When adding a business required field to the form header I can still save the record even without filling out the mandatory field in the header. AfaIk the validation to fill required fields before saving was also done for fields in headers before. Did there something change or do I miss something? I couldn't find any hints in the latest release notes.

There is no business rule or JS active on the form, header or field

It does.  Thank you for the response and follow up.

I contacted the MS support. They told me this is a known issue and they're working on an update. Currently there is no ETA announced.

As a workaround I was told to add the fields also to the form body because here the validation works.

    Hope this helps!

I am seeing the same thing.  Were you ever able to find a resolution to this?

RE: required field ignored in header

    Hello,

According to your description, I reproduced your scenario in follow steps:

I created a custom business required field in Case entity and added this column to the header of case form. Then created a new case and filled the required field in other sections except header and clicked save, the record was saved.

Only if you move your mouse cursor to focus on the business required input field, the “Required fields must be filled in” message pops up. This may be a feature of by-design.

As a suggestion, you can move the business required field to other section except header, or you can add the same business required field to other section.
