Hi All,

I am using D365 online and created Public View to show case data.

I have included few Customer entity fields in the view along with Case entity fields.

Problem is after I export this view data to Excel it is showing extra heading "Contact" for Customer fields. Which is showing properly in CRM

Here is excel view :

CRM View(Which is fine for me)

Can we able to fix this without customization or is it OOB behaviour

Regards,

Babu

    Hi

Could the field name just be "Former name(Customer) (Contact)  and it's just cut and part displayed due to the column width limitation in the view?  You can go to contact entity and check the field customization to get the exact display name.

    Hi Thanks for your reply.

I checked in the Contact entity and display name is Just "Former name"

It is the OOB behaviour for the Excel Export functionality to add the name of the related entity with the brackets at the end. It is not only for Customer entity fields, it happens for any fields from the related entity added to the view. (e.g. If you add the Full Name of the created user to the view, it will only show "Full Name (Created By)" in the view but the exported excel column will be "Full Name (Created By) (User)")

You are not able to fix this behaviour.
