Other than what is /shown/ on the main Role Center page, does the Role control security to windows and reports within Business Central in any way?

No, permissions are managed by the security group and have nothing to do with roles. This is different from other systems, such as SAP.

Another usage is that you can customize the page for the role alone, but this does not restrict users, and it can also be found in Tell me.
