Hi All,
Is there any way we can automatically do weekly database backup in Business Central? If yes, from where we can get the backup of the database and how we can restore it back in Business Central?
Thanks in Advance
In case of BC on-prem you can schedule database backup from SQL server management studio. www.sqlshack.com/.../
Another option: Exporting and importing companies : archerpoint.com/.../
or through command:
docs.microsoft.com/.../export-navdata.
For SaaS, you can restore an existing environment from a time in the past, within the retention period that applies to both production and sandbox environments. For more information Please refer to:
docs.microsoft.com/.../tenant-admin-center-backup-restore
Hi, Add a SaaS information.
You can create database export from SaaS.
More details:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/dev-itpro/administration/tenant-admin-center-database-export
https://yzhums.com/5010/
But this data is very difficult to restore.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/dev-itpro/administration/tenant-admin-center-database-export#restoring-the-exported-data-to-business-central-online
Hope this will help.
Thanks.
