Security Roles > Individual Access to CONTRACTS

Hello,

I have a situation where someone has the same Security Roles as someone else, but yet, they do not have access to the same functionality.  The user should be able to view the Contracts section in CRM, but cannot.  When another user logs in with the same Security Role, they are able to do everything as normal.  I have also tried stripping away all the roles of the user, and have also given them Admininstrator Role, but they still cannot see the Contracts button.


Does anyone know what might be going wrong? Or shed some light! I can't seem to understand what the problem could be....

    Compare both the users Access mode and license type. Probably you may set other user's access type as "Administrative" or License type as " Administrative"

    Unfortunately, they are identical, Read-Write and Professional

    check other user is part of any team in the system and that team assigned with any security roles.

    Ok, checked that as well.  They are both, only part of one team and business unit.

    It might be as simple as refreshing the browser window or outlook client. :)

    User who can't see contract  section , can he find contract records using Advanced find?

    Hey Ben :)  I've tried many times.  She's noticed a lot of lack of access issues throughout CRM in general.  This problem is one that is easier to duplicate.  But still can't see the difference in her account, and the test user account that I have configured with the same roles and settings..

    Yes, they can access the contracts using advanced find

    The user needs to see the associated contracts under an account, the access to Contracts does not show up there...

    What client is this user using? Outlook? Browser (if so, which, and what version)?

    If the problem is reproduced using the OOB System Administrator role I would start to look at things other than security, such as client caching of old Sitemap version, or indeed all metadata.
