Sales Order work | change outbound 'put' location after work created

Hi,

Customer scenario is that sales order picking work is created, to pick/put to staging area, then pick/put to outbound location, such as baydoor or vehicle.

At the time of work creation, the vehicle is not known. Part way through the day, planning is done, and each work/shipment is assigned to a vehicle.
Customer now wants to direct each 'put' to outbound location to a vehicle registration number, based on planned route.

Other than using the 'change location' on the work line details, is there another way to change the outbound 'put' location from a generic location to a specific vehicle?
I've looked at only creating pick/put work to staging, but then cannot find a way to create more pick/put work to the outbound location after planning is done.

TIA.
I have the same question (0)

    Hello TIA,

Maybe a suggestion to try... You might try to create movement work from the staging location to the outbound location. However, you need to create it manually, not sure whether that is efficient enough.

I'm assuming your Sales order work has two pick/put steps (for Staging and Baydoor).

If you can get the Shipments of a vehicle on to the same Load (and shipments for other vehicles on to other Loads), then you can use the Change work location function from the Loads screen. Last time I checked, it didn't work if the final Put location was blank. You might have to give it a dummy baydoor location.
