Price Books / Price Levels / Price Groups

Can someone direct me to a set of instructions as to how one sets up what I will call a Price Book in GP Dynamics 2015 which can be assigned to individual customers.

For Example: I have a group of customers with a common geographic location for whom I want to create a "price book" which would consist of (5) unique products each with (5) different price breaks based on quantity. See details below.

Price Book Name: Timbuctou

Product             Quantity             Unit Price

Alpha                 1 - 9                   25.00

Alpha                 10 - 14               20.00

Alpha                 15 - 19               15.00

Alpha                 20 -24                12.50

Alpha                 25+                    10.00

Beta                   1 - 9                   50.00

Beta                   10 - 14               30.00

Beta                   15 - 19               25.00

Beta                   20 -24                20.00

Beta                   25+                    15.00

    Roger -

Prices Lists are located in Dynamics GP, in Inventory > Cards > Price List

Here is a quick example of how to configure the Alpha Item in you example. The Beta Item would use the same approach

There are other choices for Price Methods, but Currency Amount option seems most appropriate.

Harry, thanks for this but I have some additional questions.

I'm assuming this is a single "Price Level" for the Product "Alpha" with multiple quantity based price breaks.

    1. Does this mean I would need to create "Price Level" like this for each of the (5) Products? This would mean (5) "Price Levels"

    2. Can I assign (5) "Price Levels" to a single Customer?

    3. Or can the (5) "Price Levels" be assigned to a "Price Group" and the Customer is assigned a "Price Group"

    Thanks, Roger

    Good questions Roger.

The one price level can be assigned to all 5 items, which can all have different price breaks and prices. Here is an example of what your Beta TIMBUCTOU pricing would look like.

So, if you have gamma, delta and epsilon items you can use the same price level and assign this single price level to all of the items and define the individual price breaks and quantities.

So Price Level "Timbuctou" can contain pricing for multiple products/items i.e. Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta and Epsilon each with their own multiple price breaks and then Price Level "Timbuctou" can be assigned to a Customer.

And with Price Level "Timbuctou" assigned to Customer A - we can enter a sales order for multiple Products / Items at various quantities - is that correct? e.g.

    Line#        Product/Item      Quantity           Unit Price

    1               Alpha                   10                     15.00

    2               Gamma                35                       7.50

    Indeed!

Here's an example of that very setup.

A different question regarding different price books.  We have our standard pricing for all customers set as warehouse, we would like to create a different price book that is warehouse + 5%, is that possible?  We have thousands of items so is there a way to set it from the base price and if it changes then the +5% would also adjust?

Sorry not warehouse, set as wholesale.
