How to block items for storage on specific bins

Hi all,

At the top of my warehouse, it can become very hot.
How can I configure that certain items, that cannot be stored above a certain temperature, are not allowed to be moved to the bin at the top of the warehouse?

Kr,
Frederik

    Hi
    You can rely on some third-party solutions as well. Or try working with dedicated bins.

    I'd create bin templates that specify the allowed temperature ranges for each bin.
    Go to Warehouse > Setup > Bin Templates and define the temperature range for each bin template.

    I would look into using warehouse zones/classes. This way you can create zones/classes for the different temperatures/bins and block certain items from the bins they shouldn't be in.

    @Valentin,
    Seems to be a good solution for my problem.
    However, I did some tests and no validation happens on the warehouse class code.
    There should exist a toggle button to activate this validation (see print screen), however, I don't see this toggle on the location card (also not via personalisation).
    Can you send me a print screen of which setup must be activated?

    The flag is under the bin policies per screenshot
    you need to create zones for that location. Create classes, and assign the class to item card and the bin as well.

    Thanks Jun Wang. I don't have this field available, also not via personalisation. I'll check with my contracted vendor, maybe they have removed it from the table for some reason.
