Cannot create a process with specified unique name because system thinks it exists (but it does not.)

While trying to create an Action the unique name changes when the process is saved.

In the past this has indicated that the unique name already exists.  The fix for this was to delete the already existing element (Entity, Process, etc).

With this problem - the process we are defining does not already exist and the unique name is not being used.  We cannot see it anywhere in the default solution or anywhere else.

Is this information cached or held in the database?  How can we get rid of any lingering object with this name?

Wondering if you are getting some guid added to the name.. what worked for me is to come up with a name without spaces, put it there(so it does not have to do any conversion by removing spaces etc) then save it right away. Then make changes as required.

I was using a name without spaces.  Yes - it appears to add the guid to the end of the name.  I do save right away.  It seems like the list of processes is held somewhere (possibly the database?) and has held on to something that was previously 'deleted'.

I think it's some kind of bug.  Also I didn't touch the second field(with the schema name).. maybe that's what did the trick.. but yes, was running into it on every new action over the last few days.

PS. And I used chrome.. who knows..
