Hi everyone,

We're encountering the below error when attempting to activate a product bundle This item is a process manufacturing item(Formula).

Could you please suggest a suitable workaround or solution for this scenario? and how to enable the product bundle for process manufacturing?

Good day,

I don't think it's possible to use formulas in combination with product bundles. The documentation clearly states that the production type must be BOM.

My advice is to consider a customization and/or raise an idea on Microsoft’s Ideas portal.

Product bundle

Hi,

Just to confirm, does the same issue occur if you try to activate the product bundle using a BOM-based (discrete) item instead of a formula item?

Since bundling can be supported only for BOM items, testing with a discrete product could help isolate whether it’s a limitation tied specifically to process manufacturing items.

Thank you for your reply.
We have followed the same documentation that you shared to set up the product bundle. It works when using BOM (Bill of Materials). However, we are trying to achieve the same for process manufacturing(formula) and it’s not working as expected.
when we try to enable the product bundle in release product its throwing error "Define the ratio for the binned item"
Could you please advise if there’s a supported way to configure product bundles for process manufacturing items (e.g., formula-based production), or if any workaround is available?
