Hello,

I need to make an upgrade of our CRM, but need to downgrade it, because changed the version.

I mean I had a CRM 2011 Professional, I need to have CRM 2011 workgroup

then I'll update to the 2015 version.

It's possible?

Thanks

    Hi Fulvio, your deployment option is directly linked to your server licence and your request will present several issues;

    - changing your licence to workgroup may break some functionality due to limitations on workgroup editions  requirements such as Sql windows server ad etc

Your best option is to do a database redeployment to a fresh install of crm 2011 professional and upgrade from there.

I hope this answers your question, Kindly Verify :)

    Best Wishes, Raz

the PC/Server CRM is a standalone machine, meaning has an own domain,

AD located on the same, static IP

connected to a network with another domain

client connect to it via web.

Ok Fulvia so this confirms youre CRM infrastructure conforms to workgroup, so have you updated your licence to workgroup yet ? If not why did u need to change to professional, was it to add additional functionity or just to test ?

    Maybe wasn't clear

I have now a professional,I need to pass to Workgroup because we had a license change

in the next version, so considering I need bringing to me the DB already existing

just want to know If install new workgroup version I can import the existing Db from professional in way I found the data.

Fulvio if your planning to redeploy a backup of your CRM 2011 Database to a fresh Install of CRM 2013 Workgroup then this is fine.

However  if you want to do an InPlace upgrade (ie. just upgrade the software on the existing crm server) then you need to make sure your licence key is the same version.

Does this answer you question, Kindly Verify :)

I'll do a redeploy so pick those mdb and ldb, from CRM 2011 pro

and import from new installation 2013 workgroup

that's possible, there's no version conflict?

    Thanks
