How to handle different product Description Language

Dear all,

I have an issue in our CRM with product configuration. Actually our main product language is based in English. That means that when I create a product, its technical description is done in English.

We have also some french customer and based on french administration rule when we issue a quote, all description need to be in native language.

The worst thing would be to create the same product twice, once for English and an other for french but this is a nightmare.

What could b the other solution ?

    Hello thanks but this is not what I am looking at.

    My issue is that all our users are familar with English .

    Our problem is that when we issue a french quote, all product description in this quote should be in french instead of English.

    So far to solve this I have made 2 different product, one that I use in English and an other one that I use for french. But this is not a good Idea because I am not going to do that for all our 500 product which is crazy.

    So my question is how can we handle different language product description by remaining in English without having to create different product ?

    I have imagine may be to customize the product form and add a new Description field used for french, then having a check box that when used, my quote will picked up that description instead of default English.

    Could it be a solution and if yes how to immplement ?

    You can use custom description field in product as well as in quote, and then based on one flag you can show and hide these description based on the requirement.
