Remove From Marketing List Button Not Working

(1) ShareShare

I have a marketing list with contacts. It is a static list and is NOT locked. Until recently, I could check off individual records (contacts) and click the Remove From Marketing List button located to the top left of the table. This button no longer works. Issue began within the last two weeks, correlating to our recent update to V9.0 (online). Not sure the correlation = causation in this instance, but thought it good to mention. This issue is present in all marketing lists, not just one.

    Hello,

Tested in in Trial Version 1612 (9.0.2.449) and able to remove members without any issue, you can check if there is no custom logic which is causing this issue.

    Hi Codallas,

It is possible that something in the upgrade caused this issue.

Can you first check what version of Dynamics CRM v9 your are on? Click on Personal Settings button on your top navigation, and then select About.

Also, I would try creating a new static list and adding a member to it. See if you can remove this member (not from an upgraded list).

    Hope this helps.

    Here's my version:

    Microsoft Dynamics 365Version 1612 (9.0.2.449) (DB 9.0.2.449) online

I have tried creating brand new lists and still cannot remove contacts using the button as intended.

How would I go about checking for a custom logic (please excuse my lack of knowledge on the subject).

Additionally, I've just tried in our sandbox environment (same version number), and it works properly.

I just got off a support call with Microsoft where they said this is by design now. They recommended using the manage members button and removing members VIA advanced find, which is very roundabout. They are looking into workarounds now. Will post with any updates.

    Hello.

Another workaround is: Select the Contact (the form), Open the Contact Form,  and in the Marketing List (on the top menu) related to the contact: Click on that. And then you will see the Marketing Lists related to the Contact.

Select the Marketing List  and the "Remove Button" shows up.

    Hope this helps.

    Hello again,

Microsoft has updated that this is a known issue with no resolution in sight. This, plus our View Associated Members and the Add members button appearing and disappearing intermittently, and not being able to add marketing list to ClickDimensions email send (only affects region CRM3 apparently so not a ClickDimensions issue) makes me thing something went really wrong with marketing lists in the last 2ish months.

If you use the new apps, the button still exists.

Alternatively, if you use ribbon editor, you can remove the rule that only shows the button in "apps".
