Is processing February allowed when January inventory close not done

Hi,
 
We havent close Jan Inventory. We want the sales guys to process Feb orders and ship. At the moment they have to wait for our Jan close.
Does BC allow you to process Feb orders although Jan inventory close not done
As per my read up on this, because Feb orders and shipments will have a Feb date, this will have no impact on Jan inventory close and Jan reports

    Hello,
     
    You can post and ship **February-dated** sales even if January inventory isn’t closed yet. Inventory Close in Business Central is period-based, so as long as the **Posting Date is in February** and January isn’t blocked in *Allow Posting From/To*, those transactions won’t affect January inventory closing or January reports. The sales team doesn’t need to wait, just make sure no one backdates into January before you finish the close.

    Yes, there is no issue processing February orders even if January has not yet been closed. This is standard practice in most companies. Operational teams need to continue working in the new month while accounting completes the close of the prior month.

    Yes, that's perfectly fine.
    And you can also reopen Jan Inventory and adjust the January inventory movement.

    BC never blocks anything precisely on transaction level. 
    Even if the year end closing is done you can have a transaction if it's really needed.
