Security Issue - SOP User Access to REPORTS under fianancial

Hello Everyone,

I have a very strange and weird issue in GP 2010 with the secuirty.

  • I have a role created for SOP tasks, which has not been assigned/granted anything under financials and we have checked it to make sure, many many times.
  • When the user goes to the Financials, under Reports there is a Task listed under Financials and an operation as Groups are listed to access.
  • Also, Under Inquiry, there is a Financials and Access operation here is Transaction Match by account.
  • There is no access of any operation under Financial at all for this user

I wonder where this comes from and why the user has access to these operations ?

    If you are using out of box Security Tasks, then following Security Task has access to "Transaction Matching by Account Inquiry"
    INQ_SALES_005*    View SOP transactions

    and "Default User" task has access to "Transaction Matching Groups" window.

    If you want to exclude them, then you will need to create new Security Tasks by excluding those windows.

    If you still see unexpected windows, then you can troubleshoot using SQL queries as described in following Thread

    Hi MaxB,

    Thank you so much for your kind help. I am able to see this now but the amazing thing is that "Transaction Matching by Account Inquiry"  under INQ_SALES_005*    is not checked operation.

    The 2nd one under default is fine and I will create another task if I need to assing this to any user

    I was able to fix this using Victoria's view posted on her blog way back which worked pretty well to find and fix the issues with Secuirty.

    I have the same issue with seeing Transaction Matching by Account Inquiry, but have not found what I need with the scripts. What did you find to be the culprit?
