Foreign Currency Adjustment

Hi all,

We use the "Adjust Exchange Rate Register" to revalue non base currency balances of Clients, Vendors and Bank Accounts.

On our Balance Sheet, we also have some non base currency accruals (manly expenses we have not yet been invoiced for)

How can we have these account included in our exchange rate adjustment?

    Also interested in this, at the moment we are manually adjusting for any monetary items that are not bank , trade creditors or trade debtors, we have not been able to find a way to do this in the system.

    Sean,

    Sadly, the Adjust Exchange Rate function does not look at specific General Journal Entries, as you noted, in GL Accounts. It would be very hard to selectively mark an accrual entry to be included. Since you are booking an accrual for invoices that have not yet been received, for a Vendor who is FX, are you Reversing the entry the following month? The reason I ask is that since the entry is temporary and reversing the following Fiscal month, I would manually enter the accrual based on the month-end rate so it would be accurate for an accrual entry that will reverse.
