Setting Route Active Version

I'm trying to manipulate a routing to have different versions and set the active version to one of those, but I can't find any documentation on this anywhere. In the Microsoft docs I have found, they either briefly mention versions or don't include them at all. 

Right now, I'm having trouble setting an Active Version for a Route, as the box is greyed out. How can I do this?

    Hello,

    It's not the status box that's greyed out, it's the Active Version box. I'll attach a picture below. What's odd is that if I make an API call to get this routing, it says that there is an Active Version set, and I'm not sure how that's done.

    Hi,

    Below image is a standard Routing Version Card Page. I took this screen shot from my company that is created as blank company (meaning no parameter, no master data, no transaction data) on Companies page. Of course, without any customization.
    In my understanding, you can create a routing and routing version like below

    Is Status box just you mentioned "the box is grayed out"?
