Hi,

I Have 2 user in Dynamics 365 Portals.

In Dynamics CRM Portals, I have 2 Entity List for 2 custom entity - 1. Custom Entity 1 and 2. Custom Entity 2.

According to my requirement,

User 1 can only see Custom entity 1 and user 2 can only see Custom entity 2 on Dynamics 365 Portals.

Both user can not see entity list of each other.

Please suggest me any proper solution.

Thanks!

You need to create two separate entity permissions for each custom entity.

Then assign each entity permission to a different web role: e.g. Builders, Partners, ... you name it.

Then assign each user to the specific web role.

This sample or explanation should make it more clear:

    Hi Ankit,

    Create 2 web roles. [WR1 & WR2]

Create Entity Permission for each entity [EP1 for Custom Entity 1 & EP2 for  Custom Entity 2]

For each web roles, add the relevant Entity Permission. [On WR1, add EP1 & On WR2, add EP2]

Then add the web role to user respectively. [Add WR1 to User1 & WR2 to User2]

Can you suggest me which scope is suitable for entity permission. I don't have any relationship between custom entity and account or custom entity and contact.

If you do not have  custom entity relationship with account & contact then you can use global but this will return all the records. Not sure if this will suit your requirement.

You can read more about this here-

If no other relationship, then use global.

I want to hide entity 2 for user 1 and entity 1 for user 2.

Yes, assinging different web role to.different user will ensure this (hide entity 2 for user 1 & entity 1 for user 2)

With global entity permission, the user which has acess to the entity will see all records I.e. user 1 can see all records of entity 1 and user 2 can see all the records of entity 2

You hide an entity by not assigning the permission to a web role assigned to a user.
