Accounting for Scrap in Production

We are currently using Scrap GL accounts and manually posting to the GL when we take an additional item out of inventory due to scrap.   For example, we have an item that the operator made an error with during building a product so they have to discard it.  They then request a new one of the item from the warehouse.  The warehouse supplies the item and does a journal entry to the GL scrap account.

I would like to be able to account for the scrap on the production order so we can see the cost on the finished order.  I would like to be able to see that it cost us extra on this production due to having to use two of an item instead of using one of the item as specified in the BOM.  Is there anyway to get this to work?

I have the same question (0)
