Drop down field value in web form does not clear after restarting the portal

I have exposed a drop down on a webform on portal. When i select a value in the drop down, the value does not get cleared after moving away from the page and again loading the form. Even after portal restart, the value does not get cleared off. As a result i m not able to put a condition branching of forms and every time because of the same value, it does not navigate to the error page. Can anyone suggest how to handle?

What type of page is this? Is this an edit page?

When you navigate away from the form, did you submit it?

Can you please check the value on the CRM side (not Portal) and make sure whether the value is already on the form?

If the value is already on the internal side, it will show when you load up the form on the portal side.

If this is not the case, can you please provide us with additional details.

    Hope this helps.

Hi Aric thanks for responding back. It is a insert form where in in trying to insert a record to an entity. I m just doing a POC whether its feasible to include a condition to branch to a different web form based on the value in the drop down. I tried to restart the portal after including the conditions but still it was not showing me the main web form which had the drop down. Instead it was taking the previous value which i have set and it was taking me to the wrong page.

What are you using to set your conditions?

It is possible that you might have some caching issues or code issues possibly?

I have seen a lot of times where a portal restart does not immediately "reset" the portal but takes some time after that.

I am not sure I can have a direct answer without seeing more information, but this might be something to keep in your mind.

    Hope it helps.

    Hi Aric,

I am using the webform step to set condition eg. new_proof = 100012100. and if the value is selected as No then an error page should be displayed. But instead its always taking the value of yes and instead of user selecting the value from drop down, the value which i selected earlier retains and it takes me to the success page directly.
