Cannot create excel template for header and lines in d365 excel addin: No related tables found

Hi all,

I want to create an excel template just like Sales Header and Lines template that is found in sales table for export in my custom form through the open in excel button.

I have created custom entities for my tables and have created relations between them.

Now, when I add the fields for the header entity in excel through the addin, I cannot add the fields for the lines entity as the plus button is disabled and it is saying that no related tables are found.

    HI FODeveloper,

    To enable creation of header records and related lines, the header data source must be added as a set of "fields" and the lines data source must be added as a related table. This pattern can work well for document data entry scenarios such as Journal entry.

    Hi Blue Wang,

    This is exactly what im doing. I have added the header data source as a set of fields, but cannot add the lines data source as the plus button is disabled, and on hovering on the button, it says 'no related tables'.

    Can you describe in detail what you did?

    Be sure to include all the key fields to header field.
