Cross-tenant Dynamics 365 App for Outlook

Posted on by 65

Microsoft have said that the Dynamics 365 App for Outlook is unsupported when deployed from 1 tenant to another. Does that mean that it is just not possible of is there a workaround out there?

I have the following Online set-up:

Tenant 1: Dynamics 365

Tenant 2: Outlook Exchange

I have successfully deployed the server profile on Tenant 1 and can confirm that Tenant 1 and 2 are talking to each other when it comes to emails.

The problem:

I can't get the Outlook App to push from Tenant 1 to Tenant 2's Outlook OWA. Does anyone have any suggested advice on this subject matter? Is it even possible?

    Hi Gavlar,

You can set up an Exchange Online server profile that uses Oauth cross-tenant authentication.

But following document mentioned that Dynamics 365 App for Outlook is not supported cross-tenant.
