Multi-BOM assembly and reverse assembly

Posted on by 315
Hello everyone,

I have problem with three topics in terms of assembly process in Business Centra (Cloud).
1. My users want to assign more than one assembly BOM to one Item - what they want to achieve is that when they generate assembly order they want to choose from BOM1, BOM2, and BOM3. Every BOM has some differences and changing manually BOM is too time-consuming for them. Do you know any solution for this?

2. We use most the times assembly to order and when we want to post a return of an Item which was made with assembly process, it is returning to stock only the assembled item. My comapny want to split this assembly item when returning and post return of every single component thath was used for this assembly process. Is this possible?

3. When I have on one sales order for example 4 different assembled items system is generating 4 assembly orders. Is there a report or any other way that can show our warehouse employees that for these 4 assembly orders they will ned to pick from bin for example 4 same components? We want to avoid situation when warehouse employee goes for component X that they need to complete assembly process for assembly order Y, and then he must go back again for component X becasue they need it to complete assembly process for order Z.

Thank you in advance! :)

this is not possible out of the box. production bom has versioning feature, but not assembly boms. consider a customization for this requirement.

I believe there is a page when creating a pick offering user options how to organize the pick.

    Hello,

Did you find the solution on how to disassemble the item post return? We are also facing the same issue.
